Talent Campers… It’s time to RE-IGNITE!

As you know, I have been wanting to bring the Talent Campus community back together for some time. Originally, I considered this as ‘Post-apocalyptic Talent Campus: Primal Scream’.

That would have been awesome, but as you know Mission: Impossible took over my life.

But I have had many interactions with Talent Campers about its return and I know it has to happen.

So, after the survey we ran last year, we can see that there are four main areas where we can make a huge difference.

So, it’s now called Talent Campus: Re-Ignition!

And yeah, you can be sure there will be some primal scream in it too!

Expect the unexpected and deliriously exciting!

You have done Talent Campus so you know what to expect. And then some.

Here’s where we plan to do the most work…And in order of emphasis…

  1. Rocket Fuel…
    It seems many of us took a hit to our mojo over the pandemic and it’s still not fully come back. You know that this will be the biggest impact over the two days, focussed on your creativity and industry integration. Hence RE-IGNITION!
  2. Relationships…
    Reconnect deeply and powerfully with writers and creatives just like you. Other Talent Campers. Too many relationships have diminished over the years, so let’s re-ignite them with passion and audacious new plans! BOOM!
  3. Savvy, Unreasonable and Strategic YOU!
    The world has pivoted, the industry has evolved. Opportunities are different and we need to consider how we present ourselves in this new world, as well as how to leverage new opportunities while still creating our own path.
  4. Bigger Brained YOU!
    Get a deeper understanding of the new world we live in, what the industry wants, how to create your own opportunities, and why it has fundamentally changed forever. While others are destabilised by uncertainty, we can embrace and leverage the disruption we all feel. It’s when things seem at their worst, that opportunity will inevitably present to the boldest amongst us.  

There’s an old business principle about the red sea and the blue sea.

The red sea is highly competitive and cutthroat. The blue sea is for pioneers and visionaries. Join us as we jump on our paddleboards and head for the cool, clear blue seas, leaving behind the old world, letting them fight among themselves if they don’t have the vision and courage to head for the crystal-clear waters.  

And let’s do this with decisive, passionate and audacious energy, that befits the lives, careers, films and shows that we want to make happen.
